Simba The Office Cat

Gunhild Jensen is the creator of the Facebook fan page Simba The Office Cat. The page is dedicated to her cat Simba and presents the ongoing story of Simba’s many adventures with his little sisters Stella and Sheba. The story is told from Simba’s perspective and paints a witty picture of a colorful cat personality.

Simba is a Maine Coon mix and an incredibly intelligent cat who loves solving puzzles. He has figured out several food puzzles, initially labeled “Just for dogs.” He has also managed to outsmart the closing mechanisms on two automated dry food dispensers. Simba is an indoor cat, so he requires a lot of enrichment to stay happy and fulfilled. As part of this enrichment, Simba has been taught to walk on a leash outside and thoroughly enjoys his daily outings. Ever since becoming a Facebook star, however, Simba’s favorite activity has been his photo sessions. They are examples of cat training. To create the many funny photos that form the basis for Simba’s Facebook posts, Simba has learned to pose for the camera, turn his head in different directions, fish for treats, and lift his paws on command. He looks forward to his photo sessions every day, and his pictures can give you an idea of the close bond you can form with your cat through daily interaction, training, and scheduled play. Simba posts every day, and you can follow him here: @simbatheofficecat.
